You know what the weirdest thing is?
Nail polish in Hawaii. I've painted my nails three times since I've been here and every time I do it my nail polish bubbles....I have no idea what it is. There are just these little pin prick bubbles. Its weird though.
It's finally official. I really miss home. As my 18th birthday approaches (Yes, 18. Who'da Thunk?), I keep feeling more and more home sick. Not in the making myself sick way that I had when I first got here. More of a, 'I really miss my family' way. It doesn't help that my English teacher has been assigning us things where we have to describe a place. All the places that I love are with my family, or places that I've grown up with. Memories I have from when I was a kid. My favourite room, the kitchen. Everything smells good there, like home. My mum is always there, my dad is usually there. It feels good. My favourite place outside of home, my swing. It sucks that I can't be there. I like thinking there. It's just home.
Oh, well though. Things move. I move. I live.

It's normal...it's healthy...and, as Brendan said during a quiet moment at dinner the other night at Oggi, "I miss Amanda."
We all do...but, I am really looking forward to my October visit...and Christmastime. Get to work on those flight plans!!

Regarding your nail polish, does Hawaii have nuclear capability? if so they may have been carrying out underground tests and telling you that it is volcanic activity, it is a little known fact (Normie)but radio active fallout causes nail polish to bubble.
